Come #SkateWithUs at the Lake Bonavista Figure Skating Club this Season

For over 135 years when the temperature drops and winter begins, Canadians lace up their skates and return to frozen lakes, ponds, backyards, and arenas, as the ice freezes. Whether you skate for fun with family and friends, skate to win, you know how integral skating is in this country. As the 2022-2023 skating season is fast approaching, we at the Lake Bonavista Figure Skating Club are ready to open our doors and welcome everyone to #SkateWithUs!

The Lake Bonavista Figure Skating Club is proud to offer the number one learn-to-skate program in the country, CanSkate. This pioneer program is available to everyone including those just learning to skate or wanting to get back into the sport after taking some time off.

The CanSkate program offers custom tools, professional coaching, a tested and proven curriculum, and delivery methods that guarantee strong basic skills and proven skating development. CanSkate teaches skaters vital skills that prepare them for other sports such as hockey, ringette and speed skating.

Lake Bonavista Figure Skating Club offers programs the following programs: CanSkate – a program for beginners of any age. StarSkate, a figure skating program, and PowerSkate for the enhancement of skating skills for hockey and ringette.

At Lake Bonavista Figure Skating Club we are committed to making equity, diversity, inclusion, and accessibility fundamental in all that we do. We welcome all skaters and want anyone who participates in skating to feel free to be their authentic self.
