You may….Skate alone. Skate in pairs. Skate with hundreds. Skate for fun. Skate to win. Skate to travel. Skate to exercise. Skate to excel. Skate to relax. But you'll always… #SkateWithUs.

Pre-STARSkate
Pre-STARSkate is a figure skating program offered in conjunction with the CanSkate program. Skaters at the CanSkate Stage 4 level are eligible for this program. Lessons are given in a group format and led by an NCCP-certified professional coach. Trained Program Assistants assist professional coaches.
Skaters who should consider this program are interested in going into the Skate Canada STARSkate or Podium Pathway program.
- This program introduces skaters to the basic skills needed for the STARSkate or Podium Pathway program.
- Skaters will be encouraged to practice their skills independently, which is an essential aspect of the STARSkate program.
- After completing this program, they are ready to move to the large ice surface, retain an NCCP certified professional coach, and participate in private instruction.
- Skaters may only attend this program for a maximum of 2 years.
- Skater must receive an invitation from a coach before registering.
- New to the club and think this is the correct program? Contact coach Sonya before registering. Skater will receive a registration CODE from her to register.
- Professional figure skates are required.
- Must be 5 - 8 years old.
Pre-STARSkate for 9-12 (coming January 2023)
This program will give more instruction to those skaters who want to improve their figure skating skills but do not want to move to the next level (STARSkate).
- Professional figure skates are required.
- Must be 9 - 12 years old.
- This is not a learn-to-skate program and the focus will be on figure skating.
- New to the club and think this is the correct program? Contact coach Sonya before registering. Skater will receive a registration CODE from Sonya to register.
If you are new to this program, here is what you will need to get on the ice:
A warm sweater/fleece coat and a vest if you have one. Leggings or maybe even sweatpants. Mittens are required. Anything that is a bit more form-fitting but still warm. Whatever you wore for CanSkate (minus any snow pants) would work to get started. The coaches will help guide you :)
