PowerSkate

PowerSkate is an action-packed, high-energy instructional power-skating program designed for hockey and ringette skaters, focusing on balance, power, agility, speed, and endurance. Skills, techniques and conditioning drills are taught in a progressive format that emphasizes how the skills apply to game situations. PowerSkate offers an alternative to figure skating and is an excellent complement for athletes on hockey or ringette teams. Its unique skill award program provides incentives and motivation for skaters to continue to achieve.

For safety reasons, participants should wear full CSA-approved hockey/ringette equipment. The coach-to-skater ratio is 1:10.

Large Ice Surface

Please note that some ice times may be cancelled and changed to accommodate the number of skaters registered.

Beginner: Moderate skating ability required. The ability to skate forward, backward and stop on two feet.
Advanced: Minimum three years of skating experience required. Ability to skate forward, backward, glide and stop on 1 foot forward and backward.

Skate Canada's annual membership fee of $61.65
(non-refundable and non-transferable)

  • Annual Membership year - September 1 - August 31 (you will pay only once during a season, no matter how many sessions you register for).

When you/your child registers for a skating program at our club, you also become a member of Skate Canada, the national sport governing body for figure skating in Canada. Many advantages go with a Skate Canada membership, such as accident insurance, access to Skate Canada programs and materials, participation in interclub and invitational competitions and special member prices on merchandise from the online store.

Please note that your skater's information will be shared with Skate Canada through this website.
